QUILLS

In the book of the prophet Joel, in the Old Testament was a very grim description of a locust plague that swept the land.

It was God's judgement on His people for disobeying Him.

The destruction was so massive that the locusts were describe in three ways: as one flying, as one hopping, as one crawling.

Kung sa tagalog pa, "sinimot ng husto".

But after the destruction came God's mercy and forgiveness and promised restoration.

How true God's promises are: sorrow may last for the night, but joy do come in the morning.

As Joel penned, God promised to bring back whatever the locust has destroyed.

Today, April 16, 2002 (LA time) is the start of payback to all the locusts that plagued me.

Today, am going to receive an honor for academic excellence: Dean's list.

As I promised God in my rock bottom state: Lord, if one day (by your divine will), i find myself in a place of glory, a place of honor, a place of riches, a place of plenty.... I will tell before men, without batting my eyelash, that IT IS YOUR FAULT! :D

For You and I know how deep I was in the mire. I thought I'd never get out of darkness.

People may say, "but oh! You have great talent"

I will surely say, "If only you knew where I've been"

GLORY TO YOU LORD JESUS!!! SALAMAT PO!!!!

I LOVE YOU GOD!

(Lord, *wink* let's get 'em all! Payback time!)

If you, my reader, is pondering "would God do the same thing to me? Would He replace and restore what the locusts devoured in my life?"

My friend, my answer is a resounding "YES!"

and I will declare "AMEN" - so be it Lord! "AMEN!"

I am the worse among all brethren, but God showers His mercy upon me still.
