QUILLS

It was Leo Buscaglia's book "Living and Loving" that made a very profound statement.

He said that death is a good thing.

It made an impression on me, after reading the book, that death actually accentuates life. I heard a quote saying, "you can not fully live until you are ready to die"

It is shocking to hear a young life gone. When Aliyah died, it was a shock in the US. After all, who told us that young people should not die? Who said that only old people die?

"There is a time for everything, " the wise man said in Ecclesiastes, "a time to live and a time to die"

Man is bound by time. Perhaps, tomorrow may be my time to meet my Creator. I will never know until that time comes.

So, let the death of Rico Yan be a reminder that death is possible to everyone: to you, to me, to your loved ones. As Leo Buscaglia would have said it: since there is death, let us make the most of life. Let's not take people or our present for granted. We do not own tomorrow.

All successful people, men and women, are big dreamers. They
imagine what their future could be, ideal in every respect, and then
they work every day toward their distant vision, that goal or purpose.
